words // 387 // outfit // clicky // tagged // Fell I tried to do you right WHY'D YOU HAVE TO GO AND TURN INTO ICE When Blake first showed up at Silas she had expected to find friends super quickly. She was a social girl, and one that laughed at almost any joke. But one thing was always holding her back; her ditzy attitude. The blonde wasn't one to hold grudges, but once someone called her dumb she liked to get her revenge before she would allow things to go back to normal. Even though she was happy to hit back and then return to her cheerful disposition, others weren't always so understanding.
It was because of her lack of close friends that Blake felt the need to buy herself a fish for a buddy. A fish wouldn't judge her based on her intelligence (or lack of intelligence), and she had a big empty spot on her dresser that she felt needed to be filled. Taking care of a fish couldn't be too hard to take care right? You plop them in a bowl and sprinkle some food in, piece of cake! At least that's what Blake thought.
The sound of trickling water and humming filters reached the girl's ears as she stepped inside the fish store. The nineteen year old walked up to the cashier, a scruffy man with brown hair that seriously was in need of a brushing. To Blake it looked like the man had been swimming inside the fish tanks instead of cleaning them. "Do you have any fish that are easy to take care of?" He lifted his eyes up from his magazine and waved over to the far right wall that was lined with shelves. From where Blake was standing it looked like the shelves only had little cups of water on them. She raised an eyebrow and turned her attention back to the man, "I need a fish . . . not a drink of water."
The cashier let out a groan and flopped the magazine onto the counter. He had obviously figured out by now that the girl was going to need a lot more help than most customers did. "Those are betta fish . . ." When Blake took a closer look she was able to see the little swimming shapes inside the cups. "Oh, thanks." She pranced over to the shelves, twirling a lock of hair as she examined all the fish. notes // None |

He wasn't a very sociable person, which is probably why he had no friends, and even more of a reason as to why people dislike him. He socializes when required, but most of the time, he's off in the corner, acting as if he's doing nothing, when he's really scaring the fear right out of people, who are unknowing of his powers.
He hated being around people, but at the same time, he loved it, for being able to manipulate their fear. It was the highlight of his day, to be able to make people's fear arise in front of them, though not really be there. He snickered some to himself, as he thought about it.
He shrugged some, before rounding the corner of Downtown Willowbrook, towards the fish store. Though he had no desire to buy a fish, it was always entertaining to him to see what kinds of people were going to go the easy route and buy a fish for their pet. He shook his head at the silly thought. Though he adored fish, mostly the more dangerous ones, he never considered actually owning them. Besides, he'd probably fry them up and eat them once they got to a decent size.
He put his hand on the door, and pushed open the door to the fish store before stepping inside, a cool rush of air greeting him in the face as the door swung closed behind him. The owner greeted him, with a hardly enthusiastic welcome. He seemed to be in deep thought with the magazine, which Fell paid no attention to. He glanced around the store rather quickly, eyeing the top of peoples heads, to see if there was anyone he recognized. And he did, though he didn't walk over and say anything.
A blonde-headed girl, eyeing some of the betta fish in the back of the store. He chuckled. The easiest fish to probably take care of, as long as she knows not to put two of them in the same tank. He coughed rather loudly, then made his way to another shelf, and walked slowly down the isle, eyeing the other fish, that were strewn here and there across the store, though in a more organized fashion.
He snapped his fingers, trying to be a bit more quiet about it, and had the fish's eyes grow bigger, of the one she was examining, and appeared to fall out of its socket - which it really hadn't. He just enjoyed toying with it, and making it appear that way. He chuckled slightly to himself, finding it more amusing than she probably was going to. He waited for her reaction.

words // 387 // outfit // clicky // tagged // Fell I tried to do you right WHY'D YOU HAVE TO GO AND TURN INTO ICE A loud cough drew Blake's attention away from the fish and towards the entrance to the fish store. She recognized the boy as one of the students at Silas, though the blonde had never really bothered to extend a greeting. As the student walked down a different row Blake looked back at the easy to manage bettas. Some of the bettas were boring colors, and not nearly as flamboyant as some of the other swimming bettas. The labels read 'female betta' which didn't really make much sense to the ditzy girl. For weren't human girls always wearing the prettier colors?
Still twirling a strand of her hair, Blake continued to think about her rather pointless observation. Suddenly one of the fish in front of her began to change. It's eye started to grow like a balloon inflating, causing Blake's hand to stop in mid twirl as her mouth hung open. Just to add to the craziness the fish's eye popped right out of it's socket. At least this was the illusion that Fell had manifested for his own dark humor.
Her hands flew to cover her mouth in shock as she took a few steps back. She knocked into some shelves opposite of her, but much to her relief none of the items fell over. Blake's brown eyes blinked in surprise as her hands slowly moved back down to her sides. "That . . . that is some crazy fish disease." She hurried away from the betta fish and back towards the cashier. "Are you trying to sell me defect fish?" Her hand motioned towards where she had witnessed the illusion, unaware that she was probably going to end up making a fool of herself.
The cashier gave the blonde a confused look. Sure sometimes the fish got sick, but none to the level of causing someone to look as freaked out as Blake did right now. Nonetheless, the man walked over to where the girl had motioned in hopes of clearing up the matter. "It was right there though!" The fish's eye was back where it belonged and also normal size, much to the gullible girl's confusion. "Uh, never mind I guess." With a grunt the scruffy man made his way back to the counter. Blake looked around warily before continuing to examine the fish again. notes // None |

Fell wasn't one to laugh out loud at certain reactions from the people he's messing with. But this one, with the girl being so gullible as Fell could tell, he couldn't help it. For as long as he could manage, he held back his laughter, watching as Blake nearly knocked over some shelves before turning and walking to the cashier. He watched her silently, but also trying to be non-obvious about it, picking up a few items here and there as he watched. "Are you trying to sell me some defect fish?" He had heard the girl asked the cashier this.
As the cashier got up, though, he made the illusion vanish - though he really didn't have too, only the girl and himself were able to see it. And after the cashier grunted and returned back to his sitting position behind the counter, is when Fell finally burst in to laughter. The other patrons in the store stole glances at the laughing, long-haired lunatic laughing in an isle that was filled with fish food, and items to clean the fish tanks. What was so possibly funny, is probably what they thought about him.
Quickly realizing he was disturbing the store, and it's few customers, he cleared his throat, and moved from the isle in to another, hoping the girl wouldn't follow, and realize it was him who had made the fish's eye appear to pop out of its eye socket. He quickly put his finger on the fish tanks, lining the other wall, and strolled down the isle slowly, his finger flopping from one tank to another, startling the fish that were so oblivious to things around them. He glanced back, to see what the girl was up too.

words // 262 // outfit // clicky // tagged // Fell I tried to do you right WHY'D YOU HAVE TO GO AND TURN INTO ICE She continued to look at the fish, taking in all the different fin shapes and colors. With all the beautiful specimens the store had to offer she had to wonder why they kept them in the little cups and not in some giant tank like all the other fish. It would look much better with them all swimming together instead of having to be separated. Perhaps I should get two fish instead of just one and let them live together in a tank. As a child Blake had never really had any pets to take care of. She especially had no experience in caring for fish. Had she owned a fish before then maybe she would have known that male bettas don't enjoy living together.
As Blake continued to consider buying two fish she heard laughter coming from one of the aisles. She raised an eyebrow, there wasn't much to laugh about in a fish store except maybe a goofy looking fish or two. First she sees a student walk in, then a fishe's eye pops out of it's head, and then the student starts laughing. Even with such obvious indicators Blake wasn't able to put all of the events together.
After nearly jumping out of her skin at what she called 'the defect fish' Blake was in need of a little perk up. Being one to always enjoy a good joke she approached the laughing boy, head slightly cocked to the side. "What's so funny?" It wasn't an accusing question, instead it sounded like a legit question full of clueless curiousity. notes // None |

He was hoping she wouldn't have followed. He kept moving down the isle slowly, his hand still flopping from one tank to another as it neared each of the edges. He used his other hand to push his dark-colored, somewhat messy hair out of his face and cleared his throat some as he made it seem like he was interested in some of the fish.
He was wearing a trenchcoat, black of color, with dark blue jeans, and a black shirt, with the words "Crow" written on the front, in almost graffitic letters, red, and blue of colors - more of the darker variety. He stuck his hand back in his pocket after removing some locks of hair from his sight, and glanced backwards, only to see the girl he had frightened so advancing on his trail.
She then spoke to him, and he groaned a bit. He didn't want to have to actually conversate with this female. He hated talking to people, especially when he rather didn't have too. He turned to look at her, though only taking glances while looking around the store as well. "Funny? Nothing is funny, unless you find it funny." He had spoken without thinking, and what he had just said actually sounded better in his head than out loud. A facepalm moment, is what he just had, and though he did it in his visual mind, he almost did it outside as well, but caught himself before making him look more like an idiot than anything.
He cleared his throat again. "An inside joke." He then tried to correct what he had said earlier. "Something about being in the fish food isle, back when I was younger." But of course he was lying. He was hidden away in the mountains for nearly his whole life. How could he have ever been to a fish store? He blinked some, glancing at the girl, then away again, hoping she wouldn't catch on to the falter in his voice.

words // 271 // outfit // clicky // tagged // Fell I tried to do you right WHY'D YOU HAVE TO GO AND TURN INTO ICE "Funny? Nothing is funny, unless you find it funny." His eyes never quite met hers as he glanced around the store. Blake didn't understand people who didn't like to talk to others. Despite her lack of smarts she truly enjoyed being social. She was outgoing and very friendly, willing to try to make friends with almost any stranger. Being locked away from other people would sound like a death sentence to her. Blake just couldn't understand why someone would do it to themselves. "You were laughing . . ." Her head still cocked to the side she kept following him, still waiting for an answer that made sense. Even she knew that when you laughed that normally meant you found something funny or at least amusing.
Fell took another attempt at answering her question. "An inside joke." She nodded, believing every word he said like the gullible person she was. "Something about being in the fish food isle, back when I was younger." It didn't really make sense to her as to what could be funny about a fish food isle, but she was willing to just assume that everyone had their own sense of humor. Blake paused, looking at some of the fish swimming around in the tanks before turning to look at Fell again. "I'm Blake by the way." She extended a friendly hand towards him and smiled. "And your name?" The blonde found that most loners tended to open up a little after being talked to for a while. Chances are that wouldn't be the case with Fell, but that wasn't going to stop Blake from being friendly. notes // None |

Fell shook his head, as the girl continued to talk to him. Did he really look that interested in talking to her? He didn't want to talk to anyone. He growled a bit, rolling his eyes as he did, trying not to look at the female that was still following him down the isle. He looked at a few of the other customers, who quickly turned away after he looked in their direction. Was there something on his face? Causing them to stare at him so? Or was it because he burst in to laughter, for what no one else seems to know the reason being.
He turned to look at her again as she told him her name, then in turn, asked him for his. This means they would become somewhat friends if he tells her his name. Should he, or should he make up his name? Nah. No point in lying. He wasn't the type to lie, anyhow, at least not about things like this. He did, however, enjoying having people think he wasn't as bad a guy as his appearance gave off. The whole 'bad boy' impression, with his dark clothes, spiked bracelet, and messy black, chin-length hair. And usually, a guitar strung over his shoulder, yet he did not have that this time around.
But just as she turned to speak, he felt something moving up the side of his arm. He already knew what it was, and gave a small smirk, before allowing it to quickly fade. "Fell" He responded, in a short reply. Her name is Blake. Odd. Isn't Blake usually a male name? Why give a female such a name? But who was he to judge. Look at his name. Fell How odd of a name is Fell? It's unheard of. He growled at the thought of it, and just as he went to clear his throat, the head of his young, albino ball python, poked its head out the top of his trenchcoat, it's beady black eyes trailing about the scenery. He looked back at the one, so-called Blake, waiting for her response.

words // 312 // outfit // clicky // tagged // Fell I tried to do you right WHY'D YOU HAVE TO GO AND TURN INTO ICE "Fell" Such a strange name. Unique is another way you could describe it, but strange was the first word to have reached the blonde. At least it would be easy to remember, provided that Blake would ever see the guy after this encounter. "Nice to meet you." To Blake she figured that if they didn't become friends they would at least be on the level where she could say hi without him trying to run away. The blonde always had a sort of optimism about her, sometimes this optimism was reasonable and other times it went along with the rest of her ditzy personality.
Seeing the conversation wasn't going much further, Blake was about to walk back to looking at the bettas when some scales caught her eye. Her brown gaze moved upward towards the top of the boy's trench coat. There was a snake peaking out of the dark fabric, tongue flicking out and head moving to take a look at the surroundings. "Ugh . . ." Blake wasn't terrified of snakes, she just didn't like them. They disgusted her and made her more annoyed than scared. She didn't like anything with scales, other than fish that is, perhaps it was the slimey look that some scales had that got to her.
Her face changed from one of clueless curiousity to one of annoyance as she kept looking at the snake. "Do you bring him everywhere with you? I mean, shouldn't he be kept in a tank or something?" Yes, put in a tank and never let out. That sounded nice. Blake was just having trouble grasping as to why anyone would want to have a snake to begin with. They weren't cuddly or soft and normally you couldn't take them on walks or just outside in general. Why get a snake when you could a fluffy hamster or a puppy? notes // None |

He slightly rolled his eyes, before his snake popped it's head out the top of his trenchcoat. He gave another smirk, and slid his hand up the outside and put his finger on the top of the creature's head, and gave him a small pet. "I suppose I could say the same, about you." Though he was halfway lying. He didn't want to meet anyone. He just wanted to scare them. Which is what he was. A fear manipulator. Someone who brought about others fears, or just made them scared by using fears of some other person, who wasn't even around.
He chuckled some as he saw her expression change when the snake emerged. And then heard the comment about why he has the snake with him. "Normally, most would keep their snake contained. But I'm not most." He grinned a bit, in a more of a dark and inhumarous manner. He put his arm up to the snake, in which turn, he slithered down Fell's arm, before coiling himself around, with his head sticking up a few centimeters from his arm, and flickered his tongue out towards the female standing in front of him. "And yes, I do bring him everywhere. He's not only considered my pet, he is my companion, and the only one I will ever consider my friend." At least, this is what Fell thought at the moment.
He blinked some, looking back at the female again after staring at the albino ball python that was coiled around his arm. "And what of you? You're looking at a pet fish." He snickered some, and then waited for a response.

words // 436 // outfit // clicky // tagged // Fell I tried to do you right WHY'D YOU HAVE TO GO AND TURN INTO ICE "Normally, most would keep their snake contained. But I'm not most." The snake slithered down his arm and coiled around as if Fell was some sort of human tree. Blake would have to remind herself to never shake his hand. "Oh . . . that's um, unique." Blake didn't like insulting people or being mean in general. For the most part she was able to keep her happy personality, unless someone made fun of her intelligence. But even in that situation her anger would be short lived.
His dark smile made her feel slightly uncomfortable. She let out a breath in the hopes that it would help her retain her cool and push past his intimidating look. Fell was willing to at least answer her questions and she was trying to stay grateful for that. "And yes, I do bring him everywhere. He's not only considered my pet, he is my companion, and the only one I will ever consider my friend." That part stung a little bit. She hoped that he didn't just feel that way towards her. It also seemed a little unhealthy to only befriend a slithering snake instead of trying to be social with others. Maybe she would get him to at least accept her as an aquaintance. She wasn't really hoping for best buddies, but Blake still felt a need to be friendly.
"And what of you? You're looking at a pet fish." Blake nodded, though she had gotten a little distracted she was indeed still looking for a fish. "Yup. The room just felt a little empty y'know? I don't have a roommate so I figured it couldn't hurt to get a fish to help fill the void." So maybe a fish wouldn't really give off the feel of an actual roommate. At the most the fish would probably just serve as something to keep her busy. Blake was a little high maintenence and found herself getting bored very quickly. This was part of the reason she was so social as she constantly found herself in need of some friendly entertainment. Though a fish wouldn't be much of a talking buddy she could at least spend some of her time taking care of it. "I didn't think fish could live in little drinking cups though . . ." She gestured towards the little betta fish swimming inside the clear cups. The fish store workers made sure to give the fish new cups every week and that when you bought the fish you would need to buy an actual tank for it, but of course Blake hadn't made that discovery yet. notes // None |
