This fight hadn't been his idea, and he was not going to start begging for forgiveness just because the guy with the crazy eyes had gotten what he deserved. The worst part was, Danny couldn't even say he was in a worthwhile fight...since he still wasn't sure why they were fighting.
Shiloh shook his hand and Danny caught a glimpse of the blood on the split knuckles. The guilt was harder to stamp down, but he managed mostly through the certainty that he was about to be paid back. He tensed...and Maeve's shout made him jump, an irritated noise catching behind his teeth. "What is your-woo!" Darkness flooded the hall suddenly, and Danny's muscles locked him in a crouch. He hated the dark...And it was worse, because he had no idea where this sudden black had come from. A teacher? His heart sank at the thought; in all his time at the school, he had never gotten in a enough trouble to be sent to the headmistress's office, and he didn't want to start now, over this. He heard Maeve yell once more in the dark, warning Shiloh not to listen for Danny. Not to listen? So the kid had super hearing? Then why were his eyes orange? ...More importantly, why did Danny care?
The lights came back suddenly, making Danny blink furiously against the spots that now invaded his vision. Through the spots and blinking, he could see Maeve now standing between him and Shiloh and looking just a little peeved. Her threat to beat them up made him want to laugh, but he put his hands up defensively. You never could tell with the girls at this school. "Alright...If he's done, so am I." This wasn't my idea, anyway, he thought. He wouldn't actually say it, though, because he knew it would make him sound like a girl.

Quick decisions can be dangerous. but that doesn't mean ONE LAST THING: None [/div] Shiloh prepared for another attack. Where should he hit now? The chest? No, not painful enough. Maybe another kick to the leg? That still isn't bad enough. The eye? Yes, a mark that he can't hide. The teen took a step forward and started to raise his tightened fist. "That's enough!" Following Maeve's voice was a complete blackout of all the lights in the hallway. His punch to the eye was put on hold now that the lights were gone, and he pulled his fist back to his side.
"Shiloh, don't you dare try to hear where he is!" The orange eyed teen smirked. To him that sounded a bit like a challenge, but much to his dismay the other boy wasn't making any noticeable moves at the moment and he didn't want to risk punching the wall again. So instead, the shorter boy leaned against the wall, eyes open and glaring as he waited for the lights to flicker back on.
The sound of a shoe scuffing against the ground came from Danny's direction, and Shiloh readied himself to lunge at the source. But to Shiloh's disappointment, Maeve had decided that that was a good time to stand in front of the two fighting students. The teen grit his teeth at the girl's interference and went back to leaning against the wall with his arms crossed.
His orange eyes squinted at the sudden light that shone throughout the room. A groan escaped his mouth, and a dull pain throbbed in his forehead before vanishing. Shiloh sincerely hoped that this sort of headache happened to normal people and wasn't a downside to his power. "I swear to God, if you two don't stop this I'll make sure you end up so hurt you won't think about fighting over the next century." The teen opened up his eyes, once again accustomed to the light. While the other boy might not have taken Maeve's words seriously, Shiloh didn't want to end up splattered over the walls by her power and refrained from knocking her out of the way to continue the fight.
"Alright...If he's done, so am I." Shiloh looked away angrily to the side and clenched his jaw. He was far from happy about stopping the fight when a winner had yet to be declared. However, he knew that he would probably never hear the end of it if he caused Maeve to be late to class. As much as the two students bickered and teased each other he still enjoyed being in her company. Losing such a strange friendship over a fight with a winged boy wasn't on Shiloh's agenda. Reluctantly, the teen nodded his head as if to agree with the end of the fight.
Shiloh unconsciously rubbed his bleeding knuckles as he glared at Danny. This quiet stand off lasted no more than three seconds though before the hot tempered teen took a few steps down the hall and away from the winged boy. He looked over his shoulder at the brunette. "Come on. We have class." His voice had lost its snarly tone, yet it would take a couple more minutes before his anger had completely vanished. This encounter hadn't been anything super extraordinary to Shiloh, and as upset as he was about the ending of the fight he was ready to go on with his day. that they aren’t fun.

Maeve was a bit surprised. Who would have though that her poorly planned, spur of the moment, totally unintentional reflex would have been any good? If anything, the light manipulator only though she might have ruined whatever chances the other boy might have at winning the fight. Not that she was complaining, quite on the contrary. It was good that at least that had worked. Unlike the other two, Maeve wasn't the least bit fazed when the light came back, her eyes being less sensitive to sudden light intensity changes that those of a normal person (and certainly much less than Shiloh's). She hadn't thought about that before, but she was glad it was that way. If anything, it could buy her some more time.
Again, surprise. This time quite clear for everyone to see, when her words actually seemed to have an effect. Oh, so when she threatened to blow something up Shiloh listened? What a nice thing to know. The other boy, however, didn't seem to take her words too seriously - not that she could blame him, after all, it wasn't as if she had actually used the words 'i'll blow the two of you up if you don't stop this', which would probably have a greater effect on them. It didn't really matter though, it had worked. Maeve sighed and relaxed a bit, knowing that Shiloh would probably be mulling over the event for the past few hours. Whatever, she'd rather put up with him than have him beating up some random guy.
"Come on. We have class." The female nodded and adjusted her bag's position, before turning to follow Shiloh. She had only taken a couple of steps before remembering the reason for the stupid fight to have started and stopped. The light manipulator sighed again, this was definitely not her day. Turning around once more, Maeve made her way towards Danny, tugging at her sleeves. "You asked me something... before this whole thing happened" she started, looking mildly annoyed "What was it? Cause I believe I said I'd help you." she wouldn't blame him if he told her to get away. Hell, if it had been her she'd probably do the same.
