It was raining outside... and Kathryn wanted to be out there running around in it. But was she? Nope. She was not.... and the reason behind that was the fact that she did not feel like getting scolded for walking around the halls sopping wet... that and she was currently trying to ditch her interpreter. She understood having him around during class time, but did he really have to hang around outside of it? She could manage just fine on her own, thank you very much! She did not need her own personal glorified stalker hanging off of her every single second, of every single day. Gods it was annoying... especially getting stared at in class. She had enough to worry about with the fact that her eyes were two different colours, she was deaf and she had ADHD, which the later was becoming much better thanks to the medication she took in the morning.
There were so many things that made her stand out already... why add one more to the bundle? As she turned down a corner of some random hall, she made a dash for the elevator noticing it somehow psychically opened with two students coming out. They gave her a strange look but Kathryn paid no mind... she just got in and made sure the door was closed before she even thought of pressing any buttons. Since she couldn’t go outside, and she didn’t want to take the chance of her interpreter being on any other floor, Kathryn went down. She went to the first sub-level which was the games room. She composed herself so that she didn’t look like a kid that just got her hand stuck in the cookie jar, but she couldn’t get that mischievous glint out of her eyes.
When the door open, she coolly, walked... or should I say bounced, over towards one of the couches. As casually as she could, she sat down behind it trying to control her giggling. She felt the need to just stop running and hide like she was playing a game of hide and seek. It made her rethink having caffeine at lunch time... it was worse than the days after Halloween when she was on the sugar high. She had all but run through the entire school trying to escape the only other person who could communicate with her... and was now hiding behind a couch. Running her fingers through her hair, she thought of other ways she could have spent her day... but came up short. To be honest? There was nothing she’d rather be doing right now than making the one annoyance in her life, angry. Outfit!

The sun was one of many things Fell disliked about the world - of course, he disliked stars more. Having been cooped up on the mountain for those many of years, having nothing else to look at, but the countless number of shining dots in the sky, he started to develop a hate for them. He growled to himself, just thinking about it - and how every night, unless it was a rainy night, there would be stars in the sky - and he dreaded going outside, then. He turned away from the window that he was staring out of - standing in the middle of one of the academy corridors - he thought about what his next plan of action was.
"The day is too hot. The night is full of those damned stars. Can't I ever get away from it for just one evening?" He growled to himself. He shook his head, his hair flailing about his slightly fair-skinned face. He blinked several times, before an idea of going downwards, away from the sun and heat, to the games room. He slid his fingers through his hair, pushing the fallen locks out of his eyesight, and away from his nearly emotionless, dark chocolate brown eyes. He never held any emotion in them before - everything had faded when his family had sent him away. He stopped caring, then. Caring about everyone, and everything. Why should he, when the people who birthed him, stopped caring? What kind of example did they set for him?
Fell slammed his hand against the wall, slightly bruising his knuckles, before exhaling slowly. He blinked again, and slid his hands in his jacket pocket, before scuttling down the hall - one foot after another - toward the elevator that he would take downstairs. Arriving at the elevator door, he took his hand from his pocket, extended his index finger, and pushed the button. It light up, and Fell looked around before a dinging noise went off, signaling the arrival of the elevator.
He stepped in, slowly, and turned around, extending the same finger and pushing the down button. The doors closed, and the elevator started its descent. As the elevator came to a stop, he slid his hands back in his pocket, and stepped off as the door opened. He took a glance around, his eyes falling upon another figure in the corner, before he turned, and walked to the opposite side of the room - to a chair, sitting against a wall, and sat, propping up one of his legs on one of the chair legs, and pulled his hands back out of his pocket, propping them on his lap as he leaned his head back, and let out a loud, long, depressed sigh.

Okay, so maybe Kathryn did realize her interpreter, Matty, could teleport and if he really wanted to, he could just pop in on her right now. Thankfully, she had distracted him by pushing him into a pretty blonde girl and taking off. Hopefully that gave her some time to herself. She could watch a movie, or play pool, or play some video games. She was pretty good at pool, but she just wasn’t in the mood. She stood up from her hiding spot and dusted herself off.... although it wasn’t much of a hiding spot. Looking up, she noticed someone else enter the room... and he was not a happy camper.
He walked over to the other side of the room, so he was far away from Kathryn, and sat down. She raised an eyebrow as she walked over so she was somewhat closer to him. He looked depressed as hell. She wished she had her hearing aid in, at least it could have helped her hear his footsteps or something. He looked to be sighing, and Kathryn could only assume it was a long, depressing, loud kind of sigh. She didn’t like seeing people depressed, and she knew she was going to beat herself up over using her power later, but he just looked so sad!
She moved over so she was standing in front of him and smiled ”Why so glum?”
She asked, as she focused herself. She didn’t have to think hard about using her power, it just came to her... like the time at the dance. So when she let the pheromones do their work. She wasn’t using this to arouse him, or make him sleepy, or anything like she could have used in a battle. She was using her pheromones to induce positivity... not the other kind of happy she knew guys got. She did not like using her power on other people, she did not like using her power on guys especially. She had a history with her power, and she did not like where it had landed her when it manifested. Looking over the boy before her, she took in the notes that he had long dark brown hair, that surrounded his face. It made her wonder if he would let her braid it, or put it back into a ponytail so it didn’t bother him as much. ”I’m Kathryn.” she said. He looked like the kind of guy her dad would warn her to stay away from, but that she would intentionally make friends with because...well... she made friends with everyone. She wondered if he had a motorcycle, but that my be stereotyping the bad boy bit a little too far. It also made her wonder if he could tell that Kathryn’s voice was just a little but... off. Most people thought she had a speech impediment, or something along those lines, but no. She was deaf, and correcting people actually amused her. Getting the fact that she was deaf out of the way first thing was usually something she did after she got a conversation going. [/blockquote][/blockquote] Outfit!

Just as he thought everything was going to be quiet down here, apart from the female in the corner, who seemed to be lost within herself, he was proved wrong. That same girl had started her trudge towards him, he could hear her feet moving across the floor - coming in his direction. He let out another sigh, not really wanting to be bothered, but didn't say anything.
Then it was too late. She was right next to him. He could hear her light breathing - why would it be heavy? It's not like she galloped like a horse to get over to him - actually, he was used to most females he's been around as of lately, to be fawning over him. He had hoped this girl was different, and that with the way he responds to things and questions, that she would turn and walk the other direction. He could only have hoped.
He blinked open his dark chocolate brown eyes, and placed them on the being that was now directly in front of him. He grumbled to himself, hearing her question. Why so glum? She had asked him. Her voice was a bit ... off, you might say. But he knew it wasn't because she was trying to be silly, or anything.
From looking at her, and hearing her words, he assumed she was either a bit slow in the head, or deaf, or some other unknown reason which he didn't bother to try and think of. "Why not be glum? The day is hot. The night is filled with stars - both of which I hate so deeply." His tone was deep, and held a bit of a 'bad-boy' tone, however you want to say it.
She then told him her name. I'm Kathryn She had said to him. Did he look like he wanted to know her name? He narrowed his eyes a bit at her, but seeing she was just trying to be friendly, though he rather she didn't, he give a slight sigh, and turned his head to the right, before replying with his own name. "Fell." Is all he said, and fell silent again, waiting to see what she had to say next.

Kathryn stared at the guy. He had a nice face, a little gruff, but like there was a story behind it. She wondered if he would mind if she painted him... of course he wouldn’t know. She’d have to do it by memory, or make a quick sketch to go by when she did paint. That did make her sound creepy, but it was actually a compliment. She’d use dark colours for him, like he was a shadow lurking, but protective? She didn’t want to make him seem bad... because she was completely positive that he wasn’t a completely bad guy. She didn’t know him, yet.
”Why not be glum? The day is hot. The night is filled with stars – both of which I hate so deeply” he said. She could only imagine what he sounded like... but she had an idea in her mind of what he could sound like. She did have to agree with him. The only part of summer Kathryn looked forward to were the summer rains, that way she could go out and just run around in it. She was odd like that. As for stars in the sky, she liked them. She preferred the cloudy nights where only the moon shone through the cracks in the clouds. It proved for some amazing pictures.
”It would be better if it started to rain... then I wouldn’t be stuck inside hi-“
she said, catching herself before she said hiding. ”Hot as hell.” she said quickly, trying to cover up her last little word. She did not need him guiding her back to Matthias. That was actually the very last thing she needed. Matthias could come and get her if he really wanted to, so she wasn’t going to bother explaining that detail to tall dark and handsome over here. ”Fell.” was all he said, completely silent. She did notice him narrow his eyes at her, making her feel some hostility. Now it was time to manipulate his Pheromones a bit. Instead of herself oozing Positivity, she made it so his pheromones were giving him a mood boost. She kinda hoped it would be slow so he wouldn’t notice himself feeling... well... happier right away. ”Well, Fell, It’s nice to meet you... I guess. Also, getting this out of the way now, I can’t hear a word your saying, so I’d like it if you didn’t get up and walk away and start talking, or not, because I really can’t tell.” she said her smile still plastered on her face. She glanced over towards the pool table, then looked back at fell and her smile turned mischievous. ”How about a game of pool to keep your mind off things?” she asked, rather bouncily. He grumbled some again, wondering why she had not yet walked away, though he was meaning for her too, by the way he spoke. Short, and simple, and to the point, with a slight, dark, or angered tone. What is she, stupid or something? Fell asked himself, narrowing his eyes again as he turned away from the female. Though, she is kind of hot. Fell added, looking back at the female again.
Her words then struck him. I can't hear a word you are saying. is what she said. He had the feeling that's what it was - not able to hear. That must be horrid, not being able to hear anything. He kind of shrugged it off, and now he kind of felt bad for the way he was somewhat talking to her, though he supposed she didn't really catch his tone. He let out a small sigh of relief, growling again, he lifted his hand and ran it through his hair again.
She then asked him if he wanted to play pool. He raised his eyebrow some, at the question. He didn't know how to play - he never had a chance to be a normal youngster - having been locked away at a cabin in the mountain for so long. He didn't know a lot of things, besides animals, and even then, all he did was cause them fear.
His mood slightly improved, and he cleared his throat before moving to a standing position. "I suppose I could give it a shot, though, I fail at most things game-wise." He said, trying to talk a bit slower, so perhaps she could understand what he was saying - probably a lip reader. She probably had a lot of time, learning how to read others' lips. He moved over to one of the pool tables, and looked underneath for the black triangle thing, that he not knew the name of. He looked back at her, dumbfounded, and waited.

Kathryn watched as Fell narrowed his eyes, yet again at her, she could have walked away, but she was determined to cheer him up, or smile, or laugh, or something. Nobody should be so grumpy, in Kathryn’s opinion any who. She found herself narrowing her eyes at him, more to get a good look at him. In her opinion, he was attractive, better than cute, hot even... the kind of guy one of her old friends would beg her to introduce them to. It made her think about giving her a call... considering since Kathryn had transferred to Silas, she hadn’t contacted any of her old friends.
He ran his fingers through his hair, and seemed to be watching her. She watched as he stood up and smiled at him. His mood had improved at least. ”I suppose I could give it a shot, though, I fail at most things game-wise.” He said, wording his words slower. Kathryn wanted to shake her head at him, but she refrained from doing that. Speaking slower didn’t make her understand any more or less what he was saying. At least if she could see his lips she’d be able to know what he would say.
Kathryn watched as he walked over to the pool table, and soon made her way over there. ”As long as you try, I doubt it counts as failing.” Kathryn said a smile on her face as she grabbed the rack, AKA the triangle thing used to set the ball up. She put it in the middle of the pool table, and grabbed the balls as she placed them in no strategic order. ”Solids or stripes?”
Kathryn asked as she grabbed a pool cue for herself. She removed the rack, as she watched the balls stay in perfect form. She placed the white ball a little ways in front of the tip of the triangle and smiled. ”it’s really not a hard game to play. Sink all the balls that are your color first, and don’t sink the black ball until all of yours are gone... and try not to sink the white one.” she said watching his face to see if he’d speak. He was a bit confused on why this female was so insistent on trying to make him feel better. Hardly anything did, unless he was scaring the creeps out of someone, with their fears being the main object used. But this girl seemed different, and he rather didn't want to use his fear power - at least not yet.
He hadn't gotten to know her fears yet, anywho. Perhaps it was a good thing. Had he known them offhand, he would of used them against her to make her go away. But he took a bit of pity on her, seeing as she was deaf, and was trying[/] to make him smile. He glanced at her as she set the balls up in the triangle black thing, and then watched her grab a poolstick from its hold on the wall. He followed her, and grabbed one himself.
He then moved back to the side of the pool table, and looked at the balls - then she asked him solids or stripes. He blinked a few times, then responded. "Solids, I guess." he shrugged a bit as he said this. It's really not that hard. Just sink all your balls colors." Her words somewhat echoed through his mind. "Well, go ahead and start, so I know how to play this thing." He responded, looking back at her.
