Kathleen had a lot of supplies for coming to the ball as she was setting up a picture booth as she had gotten the rest of the supplies from the school. Liking her idea to capture the memories and she didn't charge for them as she would do it for free. It was something she didn't get to experience. So finding the spot they laid out for her as she put down her purse and her camera. As She was trying her best to set this up in her black dress and heels as she then put the camera on the Tripod. Almost ready as she then made sure everything was perfect and that it wouldn't fall on anyone.
Excited that this would take her out of the limelight and she didn't have to dance. Since she doesn't know how to dance even in heels. So this was a good project for her and the rest of her photography class to do. So she would hope some students and even teachers would come around to her booth as she would get herself something to drink as she while she would wait for some pictures to be taken since she didn't want to be on her feet all night and sitting away from the dance floor was perfect for her.

words // 709 // tagged // rini boy with a coin, T H E N M A K I N G A W I S H , A N D T O S S E D I N T H E S E A Daniel had been pleased to meet Damian and to see his cousin all dressed up for the masquerade, but it was getting time to be elsewhere and actually spend some time with his date. The butterflies in his stomach had moved to his chest where Serinity's hand had been. They weren't erratic or even particularly uncomfortable. They were just trapped there, making his heart flutter along with them. His smile curved at the side and Rini slipped her hand into his with a zap. He flinched only slightly and rubbed his fingers together. She had yelped and jumped more than he had, and he resisted the urge to laugh. She was the one with the weather powers, and that meant the zing of electricity had probably been due to her, yet she was the one who jumped. "You’re so electrifying." He did laugh, then. "I think you mean terrifying. You're the electrifying one."
Serinity slipped her hand into his without the electricity and the butterflies did flips. Her hand was warm and her skin was softer than he'd imagined. Not the hands of a pampered woman, but soft. Like satin over steel. He could feel her strength in that one simple touch, and it had nothing to do with how tightly she held on. There was a certain resiliance in her grip. A feeling that nothing would keep her down for long. Living by his wits for years had taught him a thing or two about people. They revealed things about themselves with every movement. Every gesture; every word. He was excited about what he could learn with Serinity. What little things about herself would she reveal?
Her breath hitched. He smiled warmly at her, wondering what she was feeling in that moment. He didn't have much, but he would give it up to be telepathic for the night. Well, he would just have to see what happened. It was possible that someone there could give him the ability for awhile, but he wasn't counting on it. Much better to use his own wits and knowledge anyway. Its what made things interesting. Still grinning, he turned and led Serinity away from the table with a wave to the guys left behind. She called over her shoulder and he chuckled. Shiloh was definitely going to find himself in trouble sooner rather than later. Especially if the headmistress got wind of his attitude. Daniel couldn't blame him for that attitude, but it was going to get him in trouble either way.
The crowd was getting thick and he appreciated the excuse to keep his hand around Rini's as they made their way across the cavernous room. He brushed past people he knew, and people he didn't. "The Great Hall looks amazing, doesn’t it? I’m glad I came." The Great Hall did, indeed, look amazing. It always astounded him how people could take a simple room and decorate it so that it became completely unrecognizable. If he didn't already know it, he would have sworn that he was no longer inside the school at all. "It's breathtaking." He spent the next few seconds trying to decide if Rini or the room was more so. He spotted the punch bowl a moment later and grabbed a pre-poured cup before handing it to Rini. Then he grabbed his own and took a tenative sip. No alcohol. It surprised him a bit that it hadn't been spiked... yet.
Daniel turned to face Serinity and just looked at her for a moment. He wanted to take in every detail. He wanted to memorize every moment. Then he spotted the photo booth behind her and he grinned widely. Moving a bit closer to her so he wouldn't have to raise his voice over the music, he told her, "Not that I'm ever going to forget tonight, but we have a right of passage to accomplish." He gestured to the booth with his cup and an inquisitive lift of his brows. "Want pictures?" He didn't know what she'd do with her copy, but his copy was getting matted and framed. He wanted to be able to look at it whenever he wanted and remember exactly how it felt standing here with her hand in his.
