Silas Academy Presents... Masquerade ball! This board will temporarily be used for all Masquerade-related threads, so feel free to start one or join one! The Great Hall is tastefully decorated in shades of deep purple, midnight blue, and splashes of gleaming silver. There are small tables that seat roughly six people scattered on the outer edges of the dance floor. Streamers and gossamer fabric coat the ceiling, making attendees feel as though they've stepped under a velvety midnight sky, while white Christmas lights twinkle from every corner. Only one required piece of attire... Your mask! So go forth, students and staff of Silas Academy, and have fun! Contests: King and Queen Voting for this contest will be done out of character, but winners will be announced in character by our Headmistress. While this contest doesn't hold any fabulous prizes, the winners will be remembered with a personalized plaque. They will also receive a crown and a sash to wear for the remainder of the evening. Best Dressed The best dressed male and female will be rewarded in a similar fashion and will get their pictures in the school paper. So make sure you're wearing your best! Raffle Silas Academy will be raffling off free homework passes. Winners will be chosen at the end of the night. Tickets sell for a dollar a piece or six for five dollars. Prize includes five free homework passes which are non-transferable, so no giving them out to your friends!
