How They Work
How They Work
Jasmine has the power of empathy for as long as she can remember. She feels the emotions of those around her at all times and (as of yet) has not found an "off switch" for them. The stronger someone's emotion, the more she feels it. General emotions can reach her over the length of a classroom, but stronger ones can reach further. Eye contact also helps if she's looking for something in particular within someone.
How She Feels About Them
Jasmine is used to her powers because she doesn't know any different. She's always known what those around her were feeling, so being without them would make her feel like she's trapped in a cocoon. However, it can get irritating sometimes when she's around a lot of drama. Another downside is really knowing how people feel about her.
