We've all been around the block, we've seen the best sites and the absolute worst sites and the sites that you wish were still alive. I want to know of the stupid things that you have seen that either made you:
My RPG WTF moment, was when I disabled advertisements/affiliates board on a dead site of mine. It had been dead for three years and people were still posting advertisements for their sites. OK WTF?! Seriously? If a site is dead why in the hell are you going to post your advertisement. That seems counterproductive to me. If its the year 2011 and the last "real" post was made on 2008 why would you think that it would be a good idea to post your advertisement? For real who thinks that, "if I post on a dead site I'll get members for my site?" I just don't understand the logic behind that. I really don't. That's not even the best part. . . .
After disabling the boards and taking down all my affiliates. I had some ADMIN! AN ADMIN!! (so I know my site was frequented often by these weirdo admins) come and say in MY DEAD SITES C-BOX, "if you don't advertise I'm going to have to remove your banner, your rules clearly state . . . ." BITCH THE SITE IS DEAD? I check in on it for nostalgia purposes only and to see that on my c-box? I felt like I could only shake my head and face palm. It took me fifty million times before I remembered the password for the site and I just put it in maintenance mode and wrote in BRIGHT BOLD RED LETTERS, site is dead, any other futile attempts to post an advertisement will get you no where in the RPG world, idiots. I swear some people just don't get it.
