The Notes none Oh, he was laughing at her? No, that wasn’t meant to happen. Oh wait- was he laughing at her or with her? She didn’t really know the difference. That expression on his face was like all happy-looking, so she guessed that it was the with her thing. She shrugged her shoulders like “what can you do?” So he wasn’t laughing at her. That was good.
“The worst that could happen is that I get soaked. I’ve been through a lot worse than that.” Really? Or was he just saying that to be like the movies? Maybe he had actually gone through worse. Her mind went into overdrive as she tried to think what “worse” was... Maybe he had a pyro friend and he got burnt? Or maybe he had an aero friend and he got blasted by wind. Maybe he had a telekinetic who made something knock into him... Or maybe his hearing had heard something that it wasn’t meant to, or his eyes had seen something secret, and he just got beaten up. She didn’t know.
“That sounds like you’re underestimating my powers!” she teased and posed like this. She wiggled her eyebrows and they seemed to indicate that a challenge was a-stirring... She wondered if he had tested his powers to the extreme. Maybe he could hear supernatural (Nerina hated that word, it made her sound like a mutant extremist or a corny film) things, like... Well, she didn’t know, but she would make sure that she found out. |

Quick decisions can be dangerous. but that doesn't mean ONE LAST THING: None [/div] Her challenging expression caused another smirk to form on his face as he held back a laugh. “That sounds like you’re underestimating my powers!” Shiloh had to wonder exactly how far Nerina could push her power. Maybe she could control the entire ocean with a simple flick of the wrist, or maybe she woulc only control something smaller like the lake.
Every student and professor at Silas had their limits. Shiloh first aquired his powers when he was seventeen, and back then he had to concentrate intensely to get his eyes to zoom in a couple feet. But now that two years had passed he could control his vision with ease and was able to see up to a little over a mile. He had yet to test if he could push his power even further. There were however, a few setbacks to his power than stopped him from using his power all willy nilly. If he wasn't careful about being slow when focusing his eyes back to normal vision he could end up with a major headache that could last him the whole day. The farther he zoomed in the more careful he had to be.
"Maybe I am. Maybe I'm not. What are you going to do abou-" He cut himself off, glancing back towards the lake. Perhaps he should hold back on challenging Nerina when she had a giant supply of water next to her. Shiloh was already splashed once, and even with his swim trunks on he didn't feel like being smashed by a tidal wave. "Don't you dare . . ." that they aren’t fun.

The Notes none A sly grin slipped onto Nerina’s face. “What am I going to do about it?” she asked him rhetorically.
Now, she had only discovered her powers a little while ago, but she had been practicing this a lot down at the river. She had been able to control the river, a little splash here or there or a break in the flow. But this... this lake was huge, and she hadn’t tried something like this before.
She closed her eyes and felt the water next to her. Breathing in or out, and a cheeky smile lighting up her face, Nerina raised her arms. A box- literally, a cube- of water separated itself from the lake and as her arms lowered, the water moved from above the lake to above Shiloh’s head. Nerina, with a bead of sweat rolling down her temple and her breath quick with exertion, gasped, “Do you underestimate it when you’re under it, Shiloh?” She blinked hard as she tried to keep the water in check; a drip plopped to the ground/Shiloh’s head, and if she didn’t act soon it was in danger of collapsing. Nerina’s vision started to go a little black around the edges and she willed Shiloh to reply. Though if he said something Shiloh-ish, she would probably snap at him. |

Quick decisions can be dangerous. but that doesn't mean ONE LAST THING: None [/div] Shiloh mentally kicked himself as a sly smile eased onto Nerina's face. In a way it shocked him, the smile reminded him so much of his own smirk that it was almost like looking in a mirror. “What am I going to do about it?” The male student recognized a rhetorical question when he saw one, and for once he felt a smidge of apprehension soak into him. If only he knew just how soaked he could get in the next couple of seconds.
Nerina's eyes closed in focus and with a sudden movement she had pulled a cube of water out of the ocean. The liquid shape hovered over the lake for a second before it was moved dangerously over Shiloh's head. “Do you underestimate it when you’re under it, Shiloh?” The exertion in her voice caused his stomach to drop. Sure she had power, but the lack of control wasn't helping him and seemed to be taking a bit of a toll on Nerina herself.
"Bloody 'ell . . ." His voice was distant as he found himself more focused on what was up above him then the words that escaped his mouth. A drip separated itself from the water and landed on Shiloh's head. He flinched, half expecting the rest of the water to follow suit. If he didn't act fast then he was sure that was exactly what would happen.
Shiloh quickly cleared his throat before turning his attention back to the strained girl. He allowed his smirk to return and the flicker in his eye to be as bright as ever. "No ma'am." While on the outside he seemed calm and had managed to retain some of his snarkiness in his answer (even though he had agreed with her), his heart was thumping on the inside. If that cube of water hit him it would hurt, no way to deny that. His trademark expression remained planted on his face, but the muscles in his body tensed in preparation for one heck of a splash. that they aren’t fun.
