& I'VE GOT NO PLACE TO GO I'VE GOT NOWHERE TO RUN ( they love to watch me fall ) “it's for your own good, Em.”
Emilio sat in the passengers seat of the, arms folded across his chest, the hood of his sweatshirt covering his face from his father. He didnt want to be here, there had been a long argument 4 hours previously when it was time for them to leave. There was no reason why he should be here. He could control his ability fine. It hadnt been an accident, setting that building on fire. He did that on purpose, showing off to his friends while they were drinking. As far as he knew, none of them had gone to the cops and ratted him out, and even if they did they would never find him now.
“i'm not going in there. You cant make me.”
“you're already signed in, I dont need to do anything more.”
Em sighed. “Fine, dad. I'll go.” he grinned and leaned in to give his dad a hug.
His dad pulled away, “oh no, you're not touching me. Do you really think i'm that stupid?”
Em scowled. “whatever. Fuck you.” He jumped out of the truck and slammed the door behind him. He didnt look back at his father as he walked away, he was too pissed. If his old man wanted to drop him here like an orphan like it meant nothing than whatever. They still couldnt make him go inside.
He found his lugauge just inside the gate in the courtyard and he unzipped on of the bags pulling out his pack of ciggs and lit one up, sitting on the ground next to his suitcase and staring at the ground. He new he had to go in eventually, he couldnt stay out here all night but he sure as hell didnt want to do that now.

Jackie’s face was a mask as she quickly strode into the courtyard, trying to put as much distance between herself and the girl’s dorm as possible. On day one she knew that she would have some major issues with her roommate, Blake Starling, so she did her best to steer clear of the air headed girl. But it was only day three and Jackie had to force herself out of the dorm before she did something she would truly regret. In all honesty, Blake hadn’t done anything that would vex any other person. But Jackie seemed to have a knack for amplifying other people’s flaws and letting them drive her insane.
More than anything right now, Jackie just wanted a smoke, to help blow off some of her frustration. Sadly, she’d burned through her last pack earlier that morning and needed to make a trip to town to stock up on more. But even worse, Jackie didn’t have a car of her own, unlike many of the more fortunate students of Silas. Lucky for her, the girl wasn’t opposed to hitchhiking, nor was she afraid to. She pondered the idea as she made her way towards the gate of the courtyard.
She caught the scent before she even saw where it came from. Jackie found herself looking around to see who’s cigarette she was smelling. Only recently did she find out that there weren’t many smokers at the school and she was often given looks of disdain from the other students who didn’t appreciate the second hand smoke. Soon enough, her hazel gaze fell upon the red headed boy seated next to some suitcases. If it weren’t for his luggage, Jackie wouldn’t have known he was a new student. She was new herself and every face was a new one to her.
Jackie hated the situation she was in. She hated asking people for anything and seeming desperate to them. But at the moment, she was desperate. Desperate to smoke a freaking cigarette. She fought with herself for a few minutes before her addiction got the best of her. She strolled over to the boy, casually looking over her shoulders to make sure no professors where around. Sure it was legal, but that hadn’t stopped a few of them from trying to stomp out her cigarettes. “Hey, whats up? Mind lending me smoke? I’m all out.” Jackie wasn’t very good at trying to seem cordial and didn’t even realize that it was probably rude of her to not even introduce herself first. Not that she would care.
